Penguins!

Last week in Aidan's class, the teacher asked each kid what they are thankful for. 10 out the 12 kids said their mommy and daddy along with other things. Our son Aidan just said "Penguins!"

30 Days

So many things can happen in 30 days. I'll start with the good!
I turned 31, we celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary and we had our first party in our new house. Brendan got student of the month, Bryan got some great contracting work and I am continuing to tutor. Aidan got to be in a Halloween parade at school, got to go to Fernbank and stone mountain and PDK airport more times than I can count.

And now for the bad. 7 (count them, SEVEN) illnesses! Brendan got the stomach flu the night of my birthday, a week later Aidan got strep throat(just in time for our anniversary), followed by a massive ear infection and a second round of antibiotics and the day after our first party Brendan got another stomach flu. 3 days later Bryan, Aidan and I all got the same stomach flu. Thankfully Brendan's cleared up quickly, Bryan's cleared up quickly. Bryan and I were never really sick at the same time so we were able to care for the kids and Bryan went into Super-Dad mode by doing the pukey laundry. What a guy!

What is it about my kids and illness? Everyone says "oh the first year they are in school they will get between 8 and 12 illnesses" well that has happened every year! Except now both kids bring things home from school.

On the bright side, they both seem to recover beautifully and rarely have complications and it's also rare for Bryan and I to pick up the little germs and get sick ourselves.

So, pray that the next 30 days are filled with more good health than the last!

Fall leaves

The byproduct of Maples, Chestnuts, Hickories, Birch and Poplar you might ask?
Leaf piles about 3 feet high! Great for jumping in, rolling in, digging tunnels, throwing, leaping, making a nest out of and burying yourself in. So much fun!

New Reading Lights!

I love IKEA. I love it. I love it. I love it. I bought the boys their own little reading lights that attach to the walls above their beds. They were so excited about reading in their beds, you'd think they were raised in a cave! And they were only $3.99! You can tell by the look on my face, that I just read something gross!

Halloween 2007

Yup. A robot and a green frog went trick or treating in Atlanta this year! We had a blast until we visited a neighbor that had a Grim Reaper at his front door with flashing green eyes and scary voice totally freaked out Aidan and abruptly ended his night. But, Bry took Brendan back out and they had a great time!

The other pictures are of Aidans Halloween parade at his school!

Wreck Parade 2007

For the 4 straight year we have headed down to Tech to watch the Wreck Parade at 7:30 to watch the contraptions, sit on the curb and eat Krispy Kremes. Go Jackets!
